Crafted in small batches in Southern Greece, our olive oil is cold pressed from early harvest olives to preserve the abundant levels of polyphenols—naturally-occurring antioxidants with unrivaled health benefits.

From the Founder: “In 2020, I started Kosterina after years of enjoy-ing EVOO pressed from our families’ olive trees in Southern Greece. We could never find a proper substitute here in the States for the fresh, delicious Greek EVOO we knew and loved, so we partnered with farmers in the region to develop an authentic Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil for the US market.”

Q & A with Kosterina

Q: What is your favorite aspect of the creative process that goes into making your products?

A: We love the collaborative aspect of our company the most. The fact that we can openly bounce ideas off of one another and build something completely new and innovative is almost magical. Simply brainstorming new ideas can be so energizing with the right team!

Q: What would you want to tell everyone that owns one of your creations?

A: We want everyone to know that our products are always pure, authentic, and good for you! We always ensure that our products are healthy without having to sacrifice amazing flavor and taste. You CAN have meals that are both healthy AND delicious!

Q: What makes your brand special to you?

A: Our brand is special because of our story. Our founder, Katina Mountanos, comes from a small fishing village called "Koroni" where her grandfather was a fisherman. He would bring home Extra Virgin Olive Oil every day, and it was truly a staple in the Greek household. It was always fresh, flavorful, and was the only thing that the local people used to cook with. However, when Katina tried the olive oil in the United States, the olive oil tasted rancid and off - nothing like what she was used to back in Greece! So, she pulled from her childhood to make EVOO that was truly pure & authentic, the way it is meant to be!

Q: What are three things that inspire you?

A: Three things that inspire us:

The Blue Zones (founded by Dan Buettner) ground us in everything that we do

Female Founders, being a female-founded & led company ourselves

The overwhelming beauty of nature. The Earth is truly the best art piece anyone could ever ask for, and we must do our best to preserve and sustain its beauty together!
